FAQ – Our trip to Tromsø

  • When is the best time to see the Northern Lights in Tromsø?

The Northern Lights are typically visible from late September to early April. Peak season occurs from November to February, when the nights are longest and darkest. While we can't guarantee a 100% chance of seeing the lights, our guides are experienced in chasing the lights and will do their best to help you realize your dream.

  • How long does an aurora tour typically last?

Our tours typically last 4–6 hours. We depart Tromsø in the evening and head to the best viewing location based on weather and aurora forecast, making sure to stop as long as possible to maximize your viewing opportunities.

  • How big is your tour group?

We maintain a small group schedule to provide a more personal and friendly experience. This allows our guide to be attentive to each guest, answer questions, and adjust the itinerary to suit your group's needs.

  • What do I need to bring with me on the tour?

We recommend warm clothing, sturdy shoes, and a sense of adventure. For winter trips, dress in layers and don't forget gloves, a hat, and warm socks. We'll also provide you with additional gear if needed.

  • Will the tour be cancelled if the weather is bad or I don't see the Northern Lights?

Yes. Safety is always our top priority, and we will cancel or reschedule if conditions are unsafe. We may also cancel your trip early if the forecast indicates little or no chance of seeing the Northern Lights. In both cases, you'll have the option of rescheduling or receiving a full refund. This way, you can book your trip with confidence.
