From Tromsø: Snowshoe Hike with Local Guides

4 hours and 30 minutes

Moderate

Step into Tromsø’s Arctic wilderness on a small-group snowshoe hike with our local guides. Hear local stories and experiences, enjoy Norwegian snacks, and look out for wildlife along the way.

Join us for an authentic snowshoe hike into Tromsø’s Arctic wilderness.

With local guides leading the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views and hear stories from life in the North.

We meet outside Scandic Ishavshotel, where your guide introduces the plan before a short scenic drive into Tromsø’s snowy backyard. After a quick snowshoeing introduction, we head into the peaceful mountains for a 2.5–3 hour hike set at a comfortable pace for everyone.

With a maximum of 8 guests, the experience stays personal and unhurried. Along the way, your guide shares stories, tips, and insights while ensuring everyone feels safe and included. We’ll stop at a scenic spot to enjoy a simple outdoor lunch with hot drinks and local snacks, all sourced from nearby suppliers to support the community.

To make the day unforgettable, your guide captures professional photos of your adventure, delivered as a private digital album within 72 hours.

Whether it’s your first time on snow or you’re seeking a genuine connection to Arctic nature, this small-group experience offers fresh air, local warmth, and memories to last a lifetime.

As we Norwegians like to say: “Ut på tur, aldri sur”, when out on a hike, you’re never sad.

We look forward to welcome you to the mountains of Tromsø.
